There’s exciting news for SIC members for 2022! We now have a RideWithGPS club account.
What does this mean?
RideWithGPS (RWGPS) has long been the gold standard for route planning and creation for cycling events and individual riders alike. In addition, it offers voice prompt turn-by-turn navigation which requires a paid account.
But through the SIC club account, you can access voice prompt turn-by-turn navigation with the FREE version of the app for iOS and Android.
All of the club standing rides have been added to the route library, plus some local favorites and even 2022 events like End Hunger and Six Pillars.
Steps to gain access:
- Set up a RWGPS account and add the app to your smartphone.
- Join the club account.
- View the Route Library under the club account, select one and start navigation.
It’s really that simple and easy.
But what about my phone battery? And I can’t see my phone while I ride?
No worries – set your phone on Airplane mode (yes, your GPS signal still works), turn the volume all the way up on your phone, and slide it into your jersey pocket.
You will never want to ride without it!
