Ride Reports

SIC Early Bird…cool temps and dry roads. Shannon, Richard, Pete, Trey, Ron, and Eric set out on a fast pace B+ ride, averaging 19+ over the 27.5 mile full course. We hammered Flat Iron, and tore up the flats with a pace line between 19 and 22 mph, almost catching the A group today ;’).

Great weather a little sticky though but great. Ron Lewis and myself took on 25 miles on this evening. We finished with a AMA of 17.7mph. We had no problems during the ride

We left the shop as the warm summer day started to cool down. We hit the southern connectors, then down Olivet and back towards Rousby hall road to catch the sail boats racing. One of three simultaneous club events on 15JUL, the Early Bird launched at 0700 from the Weis in Calloway with Sam, Warren, Ron, Richard and Eric to cool 70 degree temps and slightly overcast skies with dry road conditions. The group averaged over 18 mph for 27 miles, a solid B+ performance over the entire lollipop route.

What a glorious morning for a group ride. We welcomed 3 new faces and 2 returning faces and 5 faithful regulars for a total of 10 riders. The social ride turned spirited along parts of the route leading to a number of personal records. My favorite spot for photo opportunities down by the water provided us with a rare sighting …

Wow. It was warm tonight but we sent it anyway. Richard, Warren, Dan, Austin, and I started and were joined by Ron along the way. We finished at about 16.1 mph AMS for 25 miles. Right on as advertised! And oh, we saw a buggy. Pretty uncommon for Prince Frederick.

9 experienced Turtles tonight! Completed 16 miles and smiles! Averaged 12.8 and the weather was 94 but nice!

It was another hotter-than -hades but a great night for a ride in the neighborhood. We had 7 riders. Austen Garner, Tray Eason, Richard Mervine, Ron Lewis, Brian Raines, and Shannon Petitjean. Welcome back, Shannon Petitjean, her first group ride in quite some time. We had a little social after ride dinner at the Golden Chicken in Lusby.

A great turnout for the AJR today. We had 9 SIClings on this fair-weathered, almost chilly start. We had Jonathan Brand, Richard Mervine, Amanda Blank, Pete Frasier, Warren Smith, Pete Gissiner and nonother than Laurie and Ron Stepp. It was a reunion of SIClings. A trip to the Lotus Kitchen was the wrap up at the end of the ride …
